Barfooot & Thompson Free Art Deco Bus Tour
Celebrate Birkenhead's Forefather of infrastructure & Commerce WF Hammond.
Travel back in time with us for the day! Learn about the historical buildings and locations in Birkenhead on a art deco bus trip courtesy of Barfoot & Thompson. Barfoot & Thompson started in 1923 as V. Barfoot Land Agent, then became Barfoot Bros when Kelland joined his brother Val Barfoot in 1924. In 1934, Maurice Thompson joined the brothers and they finally became Barfoot & Thompson as we know them in 1940.

This Art deco bus leaves from the Birkenhead Ave (previously Great North Rd) busstop right outside Barfoot and Thompson and tours through original four road junction of commerce and does a loop of historic sites.
