BIRKENHEAD VILLAGE PRESENTS:
Sugar, farming and the Birkenhead Heritage Museum
The display focuses on this former home owned by the Revell and Farrington families, who are closely associated with Chelsea Sugar which was responsible for much of the early settlement in Birkenhead.
Members of these two families lived in the villa from 1911 until the 1990s when it was moved to its current site and became the museum.
This display also includes the pioneering Utting family who farmed the land where the museum and part of the War Memorial Park are now located.
