Birkenhead was coined by our forefathers Aucklands most healthful marine suburb.

By 1913 Birkenhead was home to some of Auckland's most ecletic and colourful characters. Their mysterious stories to be revealed during this tour.  

In 1921 Clement Wragge wrote to Henry Hawkins;
"I who has travelled in all the six divisions of the world choose to settle in God's own Country and picked the shores of Little Shoat Bay- the sweetest nook in all Maoriland - for my home" I am grateful to those who attend my lectures. Some people think I am crazy, but I am as stable as Jupiter.
