An exclusive opportunity to view the workers of the Chelsea Sugar Factory from the precious Chelsea Archives! This is a unique piece of our sugar town heritage. We are the only sugar town village in Auckland, and the last remaining working sugar factory in New Zealand. Chelsea is recognised with a World Heritage Status, and you can see photos and read about our history with this display by Birkenhead Library.
